The Last Agony

Though I always trusted you
And I always thought you'd be there for me
I didn't expect you to turn away when you saw me cry
And back off when I was beseeching your mercy
Too much trust existed-
But it wasn't two-sided
I believed you- you betrayed me
And now

After I have dried my tears
And the wounds healed
The scars fade out with time
And though I know I still need you
I promise you won't ever know
You are happy the way you are
And I don't want to take away your peace
But just one last time, I beg of you
Turn back: I am still standing where you left me
And hoping against hope-"You will come back, won't you?"
I cry into the dark- I get no answer back.

Yet, i want you to look around your shoulder
Whence you have gone forever
Look back, pity me once
And believe me,I will be satisfied........
