A Revival

I have decided to restart this blog again after a while.
I encourage you to ignore all the weird shit that is published beyond this post, because
A> They were written by 2008 me, who was a semiliterate teenager, and

B> Most of it is just really ridiculous.

However, I won't be deleting any of it, so you can go right ahead and look at the weird shit a 13 year old can spew.

Cheers.

For You, My Teacher

Words can never suffice to express
The picture of you held in my heart.
Of you, the one who cared
Right to the end, from the very start.

Every time I failed, each time I fell,
I revived again to your healing touch,
Your gentle chiding; I now realise-
I need your presence, oh! so much!

Time goes by, as the clock ticks by,
Your impression molding who I am today.
I grow, I learn, as you help me
To overcome the stumbles along the way.

I try to rephrase what's been said for ages,
The respect for my teacher, I pen anew.
But words can't even begin to express
What I feel in my heart, for you.

You Decorated My Life

All my life was a piece of paper,
Once plain, unmarked and white.
And then you inked it with your pen,
Changed some rules now and then,
And then the balance was right.

All of me was an unmoulded piece of clay,
All impressionable and eager.
And then when you came along
Sculpted the right, chiseled the wrong.
And then you corrected my err.

Teacher, I still look up at you
To solve my troubles, and share my joy too.
Oh, yes teacher, you are for always my idol.
Someone who’s always there for me, someone special.

Be it strife, whether a celebration
Or a joy, be a sorrow.
You gave us the hope of the rising sun
You showed us the dream of a better tomorrow.

Your picture, I hold in my heart,
But now we must finally come apart…
Your advice I’ve always sought
The last three words for you: forget me not!!

Missing You

Being here, without you
Your physical presence conspicuous in its absence
Your thoughts tormenting me each day
It’s you who remains when all else fails.

Your words echo in my mind
Your daydreams lace my world
Your smile lights my heart
Your thoughts making me glow.

Waiting for a chance to be with you
In my thoughts and my hopes.
Feeling your lips brushing mine,
When I whisper your name aloud.

Looking into space, conjuring an image of you
Indifferent to everything, except you and yours,
“Missing you” is too cliché to explain
All the emotions wrapped up in your absence.

GOODBYE

I didn’t hate it when you said “sorry”
I knew that you were leaving, maybe forever.
I didn’t cry, I shed not a single tear
I couldn’t, my heart was numbed with fear.

Fear, of being unprotected without you
I forgot to tell you, you were the only one for me.
You were everything to me, I had no one else
I thought you knew; now I know you didn’t.

My friends, they have their loves, I’m not the first
My family, they’ve never really cared enough
I had only you, you are always my number one
I thought you had cared for me the same.

Now my friends, they tell me to forget
They tell me I can live without you.
Even you told me that, remember?
You really don’t know me, then.

Because the truth remains- I will always love you.
You’re the reason for my existence.
You’re in every breath that I take
You are the one who made me smile.

That smile is dead forever now.
I thought you would believe me when I said-
“I’ll die without you”
You didn’t know it was true, did you?

Because this is the last poem I’m writing to you
Maybe you will understand now
I really love you, I always will,
But I can’t face the world without you.

I will breathe, if you want me to
I will remain a numbed soul.
Every emotion is dead now
Except the one- I LOVE YOU.

Signs of Life

The first drops of dew glistening on the leaves
As they shimmer and dance in the rays of heavenly light
Flowers, their delicate mien upturned as they capture the divine radiance at dawn
And the gentle morning breeze refreshing the drowsy oaks.

As the sun wakes up from its nocturnal rest
Bringing its feathered friends along, who,
Chirping clear and sweet, greet the day’s commencement.
As animals stretch out, beginning a new beginning.

Laughter all around, the joy of being.
She sits at her window, watching with glazed eyes.
She sees it all, she notices nothing.
She is dead, but she breathes.

She breathes on, her senses unfeeling,
Untouched by the joy around,
She will sit there, see the sun drown at eve,
As life passes by, she is left behind.

Quality of Loneliness

Solitary seems to be a wholesome word
Complete in itself, pleasant out of habit.
Silent words are the most clearly heard,
In the crowd of nothingness, in the vastness of the soul.

The abstract jungle of daydream,
Are easy to get lost in, forever and after.
The mind is a puzzle the soul must solve,
And the heart continues to be a mystery, murky, bottomless.

I badly need to get away from the world,
My soul needs to heal its many smarts.
My mind needs to rest itself from the ordeal of life
My heart wants to find a place for serenity.

I find that place, when I’m all by myself,
That place is inside me, has always been.
Solitude many be called loneliness, a sense of non-belonging,
But solitude has the rare quality of making me see who I am.

Maybe I’m afraid of who I will see reflected
When I look into the mirror of my soul
We are all trying to run away from it
The truth of our lives and our selves.

Still, when my conscience urges for sanctuary
And I feel I have no place to go
I know I can retire to my Inner Hiding Place
And unburden myself in the safety I know.

And so, despite the rush of the world each day,
And even when my dreams are dashed, and hopes dismayed,
When I find myself alone, I know who I really am,
And I discover new will to surge ahead.

Our reflection is what we need the most
And solitude is the crutch to our handicapped souls.
Man is but a social animal; he does need company,
But solitude makes him human.
