The first drops of dew glistening on the leaves
As they shimmer and dance in the rays of heavenly light
Flowers, their delicate mien upturned as they capture the divine radiance at dawn
And the gentle morning breeze refreshing the drowsy oaks.
As the sun wakes up from its nocturnal rest
Bringing its feathered friends along, who,
Chirping clear and sweet, greet the day’s commencement.
As animals stretch out, beginning a new beginning.
Laughter all around, the joy of being.
She sits at her window, watching with glazed eyes.
She sees it all, she notices nothing.
She is dead, but she breathes.
She breathes on, her senses unfeeling,
Untouched by the joy around,
She will sit there, see the sun drown at eve,
As life passes by, she is left behind.
