Your shadow falling on the space beside me
As you take the steps to be at my side
To tell me how much you care
To make me smile whenever I cried.

Your hands, holding mine,
As we walk on a cold dark night
But I feel strangely warm inside
Looking at my reflection in your eye’s light.

Your smile, pleasant and soft,
Filling my heart with a wonderful peace
As I pray and wish to the Lord,
Let him always be with me, please.

Your eyes, reflecting the love I have in mine
As they look towards me and caress my soul
As they look at me and into me
I know that’s how my heart you stole.

I count on your presence a lot
More than you will ever be able to know
Your being here and being for me
Is what makes my life each day glow.

Stay here, forever and a day
We may even fight, but please just stay.
