The Forgotten "I Love You"

Because you have forgotten,
And I still love you.
Because all those times hold no sense now
And every promise turned untrue.

I remember you promising forever,
‘Forever’ is lost in the distant past.
We tried to cling on to nothingness
Nothingness is the remnant at last.

The mistake of it all lays anonymous
Neither of us recognizes the reason.
Wherein lay the final breakdown
And all the words came undone.

It was supposed to be our love
The elixir to keep us going through
But now I lay, senseless and numb,
What mistake I made, and never knew?

I loved you, and always will.
You may know, may forget, and may not care.
